Adolph C. Witt.
Adolph C. Witt, 92, of Remsen, died Sunday (July 18, 1962) at Happy Siesta nursing home in Remsen.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church. Rev. Myron Herzberg will officiate. Burial will be in the Remsen City cemetery.
There will be a prayer service at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday in the Moeller funeral home.
Mr. Witt was born Nov. 16, 1889, in Remsen to Carsten and Margaret Haack Witt.
He married Jessie Rann, April 5, 1911, in Remsen. They farmed until 1971 when they retired and moved into town. She died April 8, 1977.
Mr. Witt was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical church.
Survivors are a son, Ray of Alcester, S.D.; four grandchildren, Mrs. Mitch (Marilyn) NcNeil, Elk Point, Peg Witt and Kenneth and Dean Witt, all of Sioux Falls; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers, John, August and Walter Witt. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, July 20, 1982, page 12.
