HERMAN WITT

Herman Witt, 96, Holstein died Sunday (Feb. 11, 1973) at an Ida Grove hospital.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hansen-Barker funeral home in Holstein. Rev. Merlin Davies will officiate and burial will be in the Holstein cemetery.

Mr. Witt was born Sept. 1, 1876, in Scott county and went to Ida county in 1883 with his parents. He married Laura Klotz Nov. 27, 1901, at Holstein. They farmed near Kingsley. She died in 1921 and he retired in Holstein in 1944.

Survivors are a son, Eldon of Holstein; four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Foley of State Center, Mrs. Irma Cagley of Kingsley and Mrs. Linda Haggin and Ethel Witt both of Holstein; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
