Funeral Monday for Nis Kloster

Nis N. “Red” Kloster, 81, of Correctionville, Ia. Died Thursday, June 6, 1985 at his home after a long illness.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 10 in Grace Lutheran Church, Correctionville. Rev. Robert Bayer officiated, and burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Anthon.

Mr. Kloster was born Sept 21, 1903 at Oyens. He married Emma Jo Smeenk on Feb. 15, 1928 at Oyens.

He farmed in the Le Mars community until 1965 when he moved to Anthon and worked for Thayer Furniture Store. He moved to Rockport, Mo. In January, 1966 and worked for Missouri Meat Packers.

He married Edna Heinse May 28, 1966, at Rockport. He retired in 1971 and moved to Correctionville.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gilbert of Atlanta, Ga., and roger of Hinton; four daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Judith) Brunn of Fort Worth, Texas, Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Bayles of Le Mars, Mrs. Jerry (Sharon) Summers of Aurora, Mo., and Mrs. Thomas (Twylla) Miller of Remsen; a stepson Le Roy of Sioux City; five stepdaughters, Delores tucker of McAllen, Texas, Mrs. Jim (Shirline) Kellheimer of Correctionville, Mrs. Bill(LaVaugn) Adkins of Oto, Mrs. Newell (Janice) Ingram of Danbury and Mrs. Samuel (Marlene) Nelligan of Mount Forest, Ont., Canada; two brothers Niels of Remsen and Jens of Le mars; two sisters, Mrs. Herlig Petersen and Mrs. Lottie Andersen, both of Le Mars; 25 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
