Obituary. Mrs. Rose Ann Mohning

Mrs. Rose Ann Mohning, 88, Remsen, died Tuesday at Floyd Valley hospital. She had been at the hospital since Feb. 14.

Rose Ann Bruns was born Dec. 29, 1880, at Garnavillo and was married there Jan. 3, 1907, to William Mohning. He died in 1932.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Remsen, with Rev. Paul Wuebben officiating. Burial will be in the city cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home.

A prayer service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Carl Kohler, Remsen; two sons, Donald and Stanley Mohning, both of Le Mars; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by seven sisters and three brothers. – Le Mars Globe-Post, March 27, 1969, page 11.
