AGED WOMAN DIES NEAR HERE FRIDAY

Annie Sophia Johnson Rites
At 2 O’Clock Sunday Afternoon

Funeral services were held at 2 O’Clock Sunday afternoon at the Newkirk Lutheran church for Annie Sophia Johnson, 92, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Kloster, Friday. The services were in charge of Rev. Carl Weber and burial was made in the Newkirk cemetery by the Hill Funeral Home.

The deceased had been in ailing health for several years and death was the result of complications of diseases, common at old age. The deceased was born November 27, 1844 in Denmark and died southwest of Newkirk, November 20, 1836, lacking just one week of being 92 years of age.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kloster and Mrs. Gregg Friis, and a number of grandchildren. The deceased was the grandmother of Miss Martha Bergholt, a teacher in the Newkirk schools. Mrs. Johnson had made her home with Mrs. Kloster for the past eight years.
