Remsen Bell: Mrs. Christine Margarethe Erichsen, wife of Hans Erichsen, died at her home in Henry township, on Sunday, April 8, after suffering for eight years from dropsy. Deceased was born January 26, 1837, at Lindau-Muehlenholz, Schleswif-Holstein, Germany. In 1876 she became the wife of Hans Erichsen, and six children were born to them, of which three live with the father to mourn the loss of a good mother and wife. Hans Erichsen and family came to this country in 1878 and settled first in Benton county. Seven and a half years ago they came to Plymouth county, and their neighbors have learned to love and respect them.

The funeral service was held last Tuesday and the Rev. A. Dettmenn blessed and accompanied the body to the cemetery. – Le Mars Sentinel, April 12, 1904, page 1
