Alvin E. Schuette, 68, of Florence, Colorado, a Craig native, died unexpectedly at his home on August 28, 1990.

Services were held on Saturday morning, September 1, 1990 at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron, Iowa, the Reverend Alan Bidne officiating. Burial was in Akron Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Schuette was born on December 18, 1921, at Craig, Iowa, to Edward and Lena Eilers Schuette. He serviced in Germany and on Okinawa during WWII. He was married at Craig to the former Wilhelmina Erickson.

He was employed as a repairman at Dirks in Akron, and worked for three years at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. He has been employed by a tire company since moving to Colorado.

Survivors include two sons, Allen and Andrew, both of Denver, Colorado; a daughter, Patricia Schuette of Denver; and a sister, Bernice Ludwigs of Lancaster, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Amelia, Esther, Viola and Emma.
