MRS. GEORGE BOTTJEN RITES AT REMSEN

Funeral services for Mrs. George Bottjen, 79, former Remsen resident who died Friday in Le Mars, were at 2 p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran church at Remsen.

Rev. Alfred Christiansen officiated. Burial was in the Remsen cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home.

Mrs. Bottjen died unexpectedly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edna Rumohr, in Le Mars Friday afternoon.

Mrs. Bottjen was born Nov. 15, 1885, and was married to George Bottjen. He died in 1961. She moved to Le Mars from Remsen three years ago.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Edna Rumohr and Mrs. Emil Rumohr, Remsen, and seven sons, Harry and George, both of Remsen, Albert and John, both of Kingsley, Carl of Hawarden, Elzie of Moville and Cecil of Sioux City. There are 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. – Le Mars Globe Post, August 2, 1965, page 7.
