Andrew J. Bredall

Andrew J. Bredall, 92, Akron, lifetime area resident, died Wednesday (Dec. 18, 1983) in the Akron hospital after a long illness.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron. The Rev. Peter Peterson officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery under direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Pallbearers were Franz Schneider, Wm. Bohlen, Elmer Anderson, Herbert Swanson, Lyle Jacobs and Wendall Nilson.

Mr. Bredall was born Oct. 29,1891 in Union County, S.D. He was baptized in 1892 at the Brule Creek Church. He married Blanche Squires April 29, 1919 at Elk Point, S.D. They farmed in Union County until 1966 when they moved to Akron.

He served for many years on the rural Garland school board, Sioux Valley Township Board, Farmers Union Co-op Board of Alcester, S.D., Sioux Valley Election Board and served more than 25 years on the Farmers Cooperative board in Akron. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife, Blanche; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Barbara) Ivens, Madisonville, Tenn., and Mrs. Charles (Audrey) Smith of Versailles, Ky.; three grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jens C. Bredall, one sister Anna, and one brother, Dewey
