Mrs. Andrew Bredall
Mrs. Andrew (Blanche) Bredall, 89, of Akron, died Tuesday (April 12, 1988) in a nursing home in Hawarden after a long illness.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron. The Rev. Peter Peterson officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetary under the direction of Schroeder funeral home of Akron. Visitation was held Thursday in the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Robert Lanning, Keith Squires, Franz Schneider, Wendall Nilson, Larry Nilson and Lyle Jacobs. "In the Garden" and "Abide With
Me" were sung by soloist Gary Tucker. Carol Harris was organist.Mrs. Bredall was born January 27, 1899 to Thurston and Anna Hoyt Squires, in Akron. She married Andrew Bredall April 28, 1919, in Elk Point, S.D. The couple farmed all their married life in Union county, South Dakota until they returned to Akron in 1965. Mr. Bredall died in 1983. Mrs. Bredall entered the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Hawarden in 1987.
Survivors include twp daughters, Mrs. Glen (Barbara) Ivens of Madisonville, Tenn., and Mrs. Charles (Audrey) Smith of Versailles, Ky.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Andrew, a sister Laura Carlson and a brother Kyle Squires.
