DOROTHY JEAN WOOLWORTH

Dorothy Jean Woolworth, 75, of Sioux City, died Sunday, November 10, 2002, in Sioux City.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with Barbara Shively officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Sioux City, the daughter of Forrest B. and Gladys Marie (Brouwer) Sieh. She graduated from Leeds High School in 1945.

She married Kenneth L. Woolworth on July 20, 1945, in Sioux City. He died June 26, 1979, in Sioux City. She lived with her family for a time in Medina, Ohio, as well as Marshfield and Wausau, Wis., but lived most of her life as a Leeds resident in Sioux City. She was employed at Zenith Corporation, the Biltmore Restaurant and at St. Luke’s Hospital in the Housekeeping Department.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist church.

Survivors include five children, Harlan Woolworth and his wife, Judy, and Harriet Horn and her husband, Al, all of Sioux City; Hollie Ware of Sanford, Fla.; Hadley Woolworth and his wife, Nancy, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and Haldan Woolworth and his wife, Gini, of Marshfield; nine grandchildren, Tracey, Mike, Jason, Robyn, Ryan, Katie, Forrest, Reid and Cameron; three great grandchildren, Jourdain, McKenzie and Ryia.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a younger sister, Shirley Faye Sieh.

Pallbearers will be Mike Morton, Ryan Woolworth, Jason Ware, Jourdain Morton, Forrest Woolworth and Reid Woolworth.
