Obituary. Lydia Chinn. Lydia Chinn died June 4, 1973, at a Las Vegas Convalescent hospital.
She was born July 5, 1894, at Marcus in Tilden township. She had been a resident of Las Vegas for 22 years.
Survivors are three daughters, Margaret Schmitz of Henderson, Nev., Leona White of San Diego, Calif., and Loraine Gray of Las Vegas; a son, Orville of Las Vegas.
Also two brothers, Martin Luchterhandt of Roseville, Calif., and Lee Roy Luchterhandt of Larrymore, N. D. ; three sisters, Elsie Blietz, Nora Conley and Alma Heesch, all of Marcus; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Our Savior's Lutheran church June 7. Pastor E. W. Zimbrink officitated and burial was in Palm Memorial park, Las Vegas. - Le Mars Daily Sentinel, June 14, 1973, page 7, column 2.
