Death of Anton Hieke

Anton Hieke died at his home in Stanton Township last Tuesday after an illness of two weeks. Mr. Hieke was 68 years old and a native of Bohemia. When a young man he emigrated to the United States and settled in Wisconsin in the vicinity of Oshkosh, where he resided for some years. He came to Plymouth County about thirty years ago and this has since been his home.

He was an industrious man and a highly respected citizen. He leaves a widow and seven children, the latter nearly all grown.

The funeral was held today at the Melbourne Church.
