Miss Emma Amsler died this morning at the house of Henry Neumann. She was twenty-two years old and came here last October from Germany, being one of the sixteen children of Henry Amsler. It will be remembered that she narrowly escaped being crushed by the roof of Prof. Wernli's house at the time of the great storm, her father taking her in his arms, and carrying her out of the room just as the roof fell upon the bed which she had just vacated. She suffered from lung fever last year before leaving her native land, and she had not long been in this country before consumption marked her as a victim. Her sister Elizabeth arrived here from Germany about ten days ago, making the eighth to come. The father is a laboring man and as he saves his scanty earnings a child is sent for, hoping in due time to have all here with him. The mother died in Germany before Mr. Amsler came here. The funeral will lake place to-morrow morning at 9 o'clock from the residence of Henry Neumann.
