Funeral services were held at Akron Thursday afternoon. Feb. 7. 1957. in Immanuel Lutheran Church for Gene Arlan Robbins. 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion J. Robbins. of Lexington. Ky.. who was killed in an auto accident near his home city Sunday. February 3. Rev. David J. Roy officiated at the services. Mrs. Milton Anderson was soloist and Mrs. H. Shoulberg was organist.

Pallbearers were Thomas Kieler, Donald Hummel, John Lucken, Gus Erikson, Jerome Adams and Edward Kieler. Interment was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Adaville.

Gene Arlan Robbins was born August 16, 1939, at Sioux City. He met death when the auto in which he and three boy friends were riding left the highway because of tire trouble and crashed into a stone retaining wall. Two of his companions were also killed and the other seriously injured.

The deceased was a brother of Mrs. James Kennedy the former Janice Robbins. now of Vermillion, and a grandson of Mrs. Bertha Erikson. southeast of Akron. He attended the wedding here of Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy the 11th of last August and was one of the ushers. Deceased was a nephew of Mrs. Henry Buehre of Le Mars.
