D. B. Ogden, a resident at one time of Johnson Township, Plymouth County, passed away at a Sioux Falls hospital on November 8, 1935, aged 80 years, 8 months and 19 days.

DeLamont Bryant Ogden was born at Chesterville, Ohio, February 17, 1855, where he spent his boyhood. In 1870 he came to Iowa and spent the early part of his life here, engaging in farming. In 1908 he took a homestead in Harding County, S. D., which remained his home up to the time of his death.

He left to mourn his departure his sister-in-law, Mrs. Arta Ogden, of Akron, and a number of nieces and nephews in Akron vicinity.

The remains were brought to the home of Mrs. Ogden here on Sunday, November 10, where a brief service was held, after which the funeral was held in the Adaville U. B. Church, the service being conducted by Rev. N. A. Hollingshead, the pastor. Interment was in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery there.
