Funeral services for Gretha Catherine Oetken, 82, Plymouth county native and lifelong resident, will be Friday at 2 p. m. at Christ Lutheran church, rural Le Mars. Rev. Jack Hebard will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home in Le Mars.

Mrs. Oetken died July 5,1982, at the Plymouth manor care center in Le Mars where she lived the last 11 months.
Gretha Lubben Was born Dec. 22, 1899, in Grant township to Albert and Margaret Kleihauer Lubben. She moved to Le Mars 20 years ago. She was a member of Christ Lutheran church and American Lutheran church women. Mrs. Oetken was predeceased by her husband John in 1955, a son Kenneth Oetken, her parents, five brothers and sisters.

Her marriage to John Oetken took place Feb. 26,1919, in Grant township.

Survivors are three sons, Herman of Le Mars; Donald of Brunsville and Lawrence of rural Le Mars; four daughters, Mrs. John (Alice) Reid, San Bruno, Calif.; Mrs. James (Lucille) Slay, San Antonio, Tex.; Mrs. Leonard (Laura) Campbell arid Mrs. Tom (Marlene) Arens, all of Le Mars; 41 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Bruno (Margaret) Brunken, Struble, and Mrs. Harry (Nora) Westhoff Le Mars.
