Mrs. Hannah Hawkins who resided at 127 4th Ave., S E. in Le Mars passed away early Monday morning at the Sacred Heart hospital where she had been admitted Sunday noon
Hannah Boom was born March 14, 1879 in Holland. She came to the U. S. in 1882 and settled in Plymouth County where she remained her entire life with the exception of five years spent in Woodbury County. She moved to Le Mars in 1924. Her marriage lo George Hawkins look place March 7, 1899 in Kingsley. She was 78 years of age at the time of her passing and had been
sick for three months.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, at the Mauer Funeral Chapel in Le Mars under direction of the Mauer Funeral home. Rev. Clifford Dean will officiate the last rites. Burial Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Adaville.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1922 and is survived by four children, Harry and George of Le Mars and Lela Mae Bride of Sumner. Washington and Hazel Bentone of Cedar Falls, Iowa. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren one brother, Henry Boom of Wisconsin and a sister, Tonia Schnpp of Mountain Gulp, Missouri.
