Anna Barinsky

Anna Marie Barinksy, 96, who came to Plymouth county before the turn of the century, died Friday (Jan. 25, 1980) at the Brentwood Good Samaritan center after a long illness.

Anna M. Hoffman, was born May 24, 1883 in Appenphal, Germany. Her parents were Frederick Hoffman and Felicie Herter. She came to Plymouth county Oct. 5, 1899. She married John H. Barinsky Oct. 16, 1901, in Preston township, rural Akron. The couple farmed in Johnson township until retiring to Le Mars in 1917, where they continued to live. Mr. Barinksy died August 14, 1952.

Mrs. Barinsky was a member of St. John's American Lutheran church in Le Mars, and a member of the ALCW.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John's American Lutheran church in Le Mars. The Rev. David Kramer officiated and burial was in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home, Le Mars.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.
