Note: Her first name was Josephine and she was called Josie. Her maiden name was Agnes. And her mother's maiden name was Dunn.

MRS. ARTHUR CLAEYS" SR. OF AKRON DEAD AT 84

Funeral services for Mrs. Arthur Claeys Sr., 84 Akron,were at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic church at Akron. Rev. John Shissei officiated. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery.

Mrs. Claeys died Friday morning at the Akron hospital after a long illness.

She was born at Akron Oct. 4, 1882. She attended Clark College at Dubuque, and was a teacher in the Akron Public School system. She was married to Mr. Claeys at Akron Sept. 7, 1910.

Survivors are two daughters. Mrs. Agnes Daly of Sioux City and Mrs. Madeline Gering of Kansas City, Mo.; three sons, Arthur Jr. of Sioux City, Alfred of Center, Tex, and Robert of Kansas City, Kan.; three brothers, James Agnes of Akron, Matt , Agnes of Fort Dodge and the Rev. John Agnes, S.J., of Minneapolis; four sisters, Rose Hoffman of Washington, D. C, Olive Agnes of Milwaukee, Wis., Sister Mary; St. Vivian, B.V.M.1; of Chicago, 'Sister Mary St. Matthew, B.V.M. of Santa Barbara, Calif.; 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
