Mrs. Harry (Ruth Marion) Kroll, 67, Westfield, died Saturday, May 12, 1990 in a Sioux City hospital.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron. Rev. Tim Mason officiated. Organist was Carol Harris. Congregational hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross", "What A Friend", and "How Great Thou Art". Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Akron, under direction of Schroeder funeral home of Akron.

Pallbearers were Dennis Kroll, Steve Reinek, Jeff Shear, John Howard, Duane Reinek, and Steve Schwarz.

Mrs. Kroll, the former Ruth Marion Kelshimer, was born Aug. 16, 1922 at Charter Oak, Iowa, the daughter of William and Ethel Kelshimer. She married Harry Kroll, Oct. 25, 1946 at Elk Point, S.D. They farmed for 35 years on the same farm near Westfield.

Survivors include her husband, Harry; four sons, Larry Ostermyer of Buffalo, Wyo., Harry Kroll Jr., of Westfield, Dennis Kroll of South Sioux City, and Mike Kroll of Akron; four daughters Karen Ostermyer, Linda Clark and Colleen Schwarz, all of Sioux City, and Marilyn Davis of Martinsville, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her mother, Ethel, of Correctionville, Iowa; three sisters, Lois Steffen of Remsen, Vera Baldwin of Anthon, Margaret Hamann of Battle Creek; four brothers, Dean and Jim, both of Anthon, Tom of Norwalk, Calif., and Roger of Melcher, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her father, a daughter, Arlene, and one granddaughter.
