Note: The obituary says she's buried in Hawarden but she shares a gravestone with her husband in Riverside Cemetery in Akron.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Christiansen Dirks of Akron, who died Friday, were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Rossow Funeral Home at Akron. Burial was in the Hawarden Cemetery.

Mrs. Dirks was born February 8,1873, at Halbeck, Denmark, and came to the United States at the age of 16. She was married to Henry Dirks in 1892. Mr. Dirks died in May, 1939.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline Pobins of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. LaVerne Meyers of Venice, Fla.; two sons, John R. Dirks of Hawarden, Ia., and Elmer L. Dirks of Milwaukee, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. McAnnich of Hawarden; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
