Mrs. Marlin Parcel, of Sioux City, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Boom, living northeast of Kingsley, died suddenly Sunday morning in the home of her parents. She and her husband and baby had come, to visit over the weekend and her
birthday was to be celebrated with a family dinner. Mrs. Parcel was talking a the telephone with a friend when she suddenly fell to the floor and died instantly.Lois Wilma (Boom) Parcel, daughter of William and Bertha Boom, was born in Henry Township, Plymouth County, Iowa, September 24, 1914, and died on her 25th birthday anniversary, September 24, 1939. On March 11, 1933, she was united in marriage to Marlin Parcel, of Washta, and to this union one child was born, Janet Kay.
Besides her husband and baby she leaves to mourn her departure, her father and mother, sister, Mrs. Ethel Lynn; two nieces, Arlene and Donna Lynn; grandmother, Mrs. Ora Shrop.
Funeral services were held at the Congregational church in Kingsley on Tuesday afternoon, September 26, with Rev. L. T. Proctor officiating. Burial was in the Kingsley Cemetery. Among out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Boom, Belmont, Wis., Mrs. Ora Shrop, Mrs. Henry Luna, Mrs. Alice Quin, son, George, and wife, of San Francisco, Calif.,
