Anna Maria Plueger, 82, Le Mars, Plymouth county native, died Jan. 20, 1988, at Plymouth Manor Care Center after an illness of two weeks. She had lived at the center the last seven years. Funeral was at 10:30 a. m. Saturday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church at Craig with Rev. Charles B. Wolff officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of the Mauer-Johnson funeral home in Le Mars.
The former Anna Kleihauer, was born Oct. 5, 1905, in Grant township, rural Le Mars, to Henry and Johanna Dircks Kleihauer. She married John F. Plueger Dec. 19, 1940, in Grant township. She lived her entire life in Plymouth county and farmed with her husband until 1954, near Craig, when they moved to Le Mars. Mr. Plueger died in 1974. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church at Craig and the church women's group.
Survivors are five sisters, Mrs, Cletus (Mary) Wiebersch, Mrs. Meta Ruble, Mrs. Etta Beitelspacher and Mrs, Fred (Emma) Harms, all of Le Mars, and Mrs. John (Lillian) Moller of Craig; three brothers, Henry Kleihauer and Otto Kleihauer, both of Le Mars, and Albert Kleihauer, Cherokee.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and John A. Kleihauer.
