SGT. W. SCHUETTE KILLED TUESDAY IN PLANE CRASH

Sgt. Walter Schuette, 21, son of Walter Schuette and Mrs. L. R. James, both of Sioux City, was killed last Tuesday in a plane crash in southern France. He was one of the 36 persons aboard the C-82 Flying Boxcar which crashed against a mountain slope 250 miles south of Paris.

He recently had re-enlisted for another four-hitch in the air force after serving out one enlistment. Sgt. Schuette was born January 8, 1929, at Ireton. He attended schools at Ireton and Hawarden, and in Minnesota. Before his enlistment in the air force, he was employed at the Swift & Co. in Sioux City.

Besides his parents , Sgt. Schuette has a brother, Orville Schuette, Bell, Calif.: three sisters, Mrs. Kenneth Renken. Le Mars, Mrs. Kenneth Kady, Sioux City, and Lavonne Schuette, Akron His grandfather. Thomas Hatten, lives at Le Mars, and his grandmother, Mrs. Anna Schuette at Craig.
