Eva H. Lubben, 91, a Le Mars native and longtime resident, died Tuesday, May 23, 1989, at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in Le Mars. Funeral will be at 1:30 p. m. Friday at St. John's American Lutheran Church in Le Mars with Rev. Gary Landsness officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p. m. Thursday with the family present from 7 to. 8:30 p .m. at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lubben, the former Eva Wendt, was born Nov. 6,1897, in rural Le Mars, daughter of William and Caroline (Foltz) Wendt. She moved to South Dakota at age 5. She married John H. Lubben Nov. 28, 1918, at Fulton, S.D. The couple made their home in Le Mars after their marriage. He died in 1966.

Mrs. Lubben was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church.

Survivors are three sons, Stanley of Le Mars, Harm of Sioux Falls, and Arthur of Kansas City, Kan.; five daughters, Mrs. Tony (Bernice) Sitzman of Le Mars, Mrs. Herman (Rosina) Ritter of Lake Benton, Minn., Martha Jo Lubben of Phoenix, Mrs. Arnis (Audrey) Jakobsons of Elmhurst, Ill., and Mrs. Donald (Hester) Hatfield of Sioux City; three brothers, Christian Wendt of Fedora. S.D., Albert Wendt of Mitchell, S.D., and Edgar Wendt of Concord. Ark.; a sister, Mrs. Hannah Gerstenkker of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson.
