Mrs. Lorne (Velma) Ross of Akron passed away September 9,1974 at the Akron Hospital after a long illness.

Services will be held Thursday morning, September 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Father Stanley Stone officiating. Burial will be in Adaville cemetery, Adaville, Iowa, under the direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. The rosary will be recited Wednesday evening, September 11 at the funeral home,

Pallbearers are Harold Adams, Orel Banks, Vernal Bye, Arden Boetger, Frank Rollins and Bud Bernhardt.

Velma Susan Ross, was born October 23, 1903 at Westfield, Iowa. She married Charles Kroksh July 15, 1924 at Westfield, he passed away in 1956. She married Lorne Ross November 27,1959 at Akron.

Survivors include the widower, Lorne; one son, Marvin Kroksh of Akron; four daughters, Mrs. Lavern Jensen, Elko, Nevada; Mrs Florence Gallop, Torrence, Colorado; and Mrs. Ruth Hoffman of Lawton, Iowa. Two stepsons Le Roy, Hawarden and Joseph in Europe. One brother, Alvin Oaks of Akron; two sisters, Mrs. B. C. Boyd of Yankton, S. D. and Mrs. Gertrude Waterbury of Akron and 21 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
