Mrs. Herbert Molzen, 87, died Friday (Dec. 17, 1982) at Floyd Valley Hospital after a long illness. She was hospitalized for two weeks. Services were at 1:30 p. m. Monday in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Preston township, rural Akron. Rev. Robert H. Kruempel officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. A prayer service began at 7:30 p. m. Sunday at the Mauer Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mrs. Molzen, the former Anna Louise Plueger, was born Oct. 4,1895, in Preston Township to Henry and Tena Dirks Plueger. She was a lifelong resident of Plymouth County. She married Herbert P. Molzen on Sept. 23,1920, at her parents' home in rural Le Mars. Mr. Molzen died in July, 1965.

Survivors are two sons, Leonard and Daryl of Le Mars; one grandson, Larry Molzen, Le Mars; two great-grandchildren: three brothers, Fred and Richard, both of rural Le Mars and Henry of Akron, and one sister, Mrs. Claus Siebens of rural Le Mars. She was also preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
