Willie Bengston, 77, Akron, died Tuesday (Dec. 18, 1973) at the Akron Hospital aftera brief illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Schroeder funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Akron.

Mr. Bengston was born Oct. 18, 1896, in Union County, S.D. He married Emma Ball Nov. 1,1922 at Watertown, S.D. He was a trucker in the Akron vicinity, who retired in 1950.

Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Max (Myra) Vreugdenhil of Akron; two sons, Orval of Arvada, Colo., and Eugene of Rochester, N.Y.; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Hilda Waldon of Belle Fourche, S.D., Mrs. Josephine Bohman of Rock Island 111., and Mrs. Tillie Linn of Sioux City.
