Evelyn Dorothy Boetger, 79, Le Mars died Monday, June 8, 1998 at the Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

Services were held June 11 at St. John's Lutheran Church E.L.C.A. in Le Mars, with Rev. Burt Burwell, AiM, officiating. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery, Akron.

Pallbearers were Dean and Barry Borchers, Denny Lias, Les Albrecht, David Henry and Danny See.

Mrs. Boetger was born Oct. 4, 1918, near Akron, the daughter of Jessie H. and Lorena (Witt) Kallsen. She attended country school near Akron. She married Charles Swift on Nov. 25,1937, in Preston Township. He died March 20, 1955. She married Ray Boetger on June 17, 1957, in Luverne, Minn. He died in 1977. She was employed with the Club Cafe in Le Mars for 23 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church E.L.C.A. and enjoyed playing cards.

Survivors include five grandchildren, Bryan, Brad, Brent, Brandon and Beth Swift; four great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Deb Swift, Le Mars, three sisters and their husbands, Norma Jean and Wendell Borchers, Akron, Phyliss and, Pat Callahan, Fillmore, Calif., and . Violet and LeVerne Helmrichs, Ireton; and. A brother-in-law, Harvey Lias, Akron.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larry Swift; an infant granddaughter, Stacey Swift; a brother, Clarence Kallsen; a sister, Lois Lias; a daughter-in-law, Madonna Plendl Swift; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Kallsen.
