Raymond Wayne Boetger, 46, a Plymouth county native, died Thursday (Oct. 20, 1977) at University hospitals, Iowa City, after an illness of several years. He had been hospitalized for a week at Iowa City.
Mr. Boetger was born Oct. 12,1931, at Akron to Ernest H. and Mary Beeler Boetger. He lived in Akron until moving to Le Mars in 1960. His marriage to Evelyn Dorothy Kallsen took place June 17, 1957, at Luveme, Minn.
Funeral, services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Mauer funeral chapel, Le Mars, with Rev. Arnold Imbrock and Rev. William Reck officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Akron. A prayer service will be held Friday; at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors are his wife, Evelyn and a , step-son, Larry Swift; both of Le Mars; three grandsons, Bryon, Bradley and, Brent Swift, all of Le Mars; his mother Mrs. Mary Boetger, Akron; five , brothers, Orville, El Paso, Tex.; Pamela; and Darrel, both of Akron and Clifford, Le Mars, and a sister, Mrs. Darrell (Elaine) McCormick, Downey, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father Ernest in August, 1977.
