YOUNG WIFE IS DEAD
MRS. LOUIS MEYER IS STRICKEN AT YOUTHFUL AGE
SHE LIVED HERE ALL HER LIFE
Deceased Woman Was Born and Reared In Meadow Township and Had Been Married Only One Year—Leaves Many Relatives.
Mrs. Meyer, wife of Louis Meyer, residing at 601 Court street, died at the city hospital on Sunday afternoon at half past four, death being due to convulsions.
Anna Schlitz was born and reared on a farm in Meadow township, north of Remsen. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schlitz, and was born on September 9, 1889, and at the time of her death was twenty-six years, six months and ten days old. She received her education at St. Mary's parochial school in Remsen. She was united in marriage with Louis Meyer at St. Mary's church in Remsen, on January 12th, 1915, and following their marriage they came to Le Mars to make their home. Besides the grief stricken father and the babe for whom she gave her life, she is mourned by her parents, three brothers, eight sisters, and a host of friends. The brothers and sisters are John, Anthony and William, Mrs. Henry Feller and Mrs. Nic Konz, of Remsen; Mrs. Chas. Majeres and Mrs. Martin Wanderscheid, of Oyens; Mrs. Ferd Arens, of Alton; Elizabeth,Alvina and Marie, living at home. Mrs. Meyer was greatly beloved in a large circle of friends and her death coming in the bloom of youth as it does is a great shock to her relatives and to those with whom she was associated in girlhood and womanhood.
The remains were taken to Remsen last evening and the funeral will he held at St. Mary's church at that place at half past nine o'clock on Wednesday morning, Rev. Father Schulte officiating.
