Mrs. A.J. Heimgartner
Mrs. A. J. (Elsie) Heimgartner, 67, a lifelong Plymouth county resident, died Saturday evening (Dec. 18, 1976) at St. Luke's medical center, Sioux City, after an extended illness. She had been hospitalized at Rochester before being admitted at the Sioux City hospital.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran church, rural Hinton. Rev, Arthur Schultz, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home in Le Mars.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Heimgartner, the former Elsie Schulz, was born April 22. 1909 in Plymouth county to Gustav and Emma Epling Schulz. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.
Her marriage to Albrik Heimgartner took place Sept. 3, 1941 in Hinton. He preceded her in death April 25 this year and she was also preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. William (Hattie) Nitzschke on Oct. 16, 1976. Also preceding her in death was another sister, her parents and two brothers.
Survivors are a son, Capt. Harlan Heimgartner, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Jo Ellen) Cronin of Le Mars; a foster daughter, Mrs. Dale (Phyllis) Riediger, Hinton; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
