Word was received in Le Mars that the remains of Mary Elizabeth Wilke, formerly resident of this city, would be shipped here for burial. Miss Wilke died at Opportunity, Wash., Sunday afternoon.

Services will be held at St. Joseph's Church, Friday morning at 9 o'clock, with Wiltgen's funeral directors in charge. Deceased was a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality and all members will attend in a body.

Funeral services were held last Saturday, September 14, in St. Joseph's church for Miss Mary Wilke, who passed away September 8, in the home of her sister, Mrs. W. E. Lister; at Opportunity, Washington. She was 47 years, 11 months and 19 days of age at the time of her death. She had been sick several years prior to the time of her death.

Mary Elizabeth Wilke was born September 19, 1887, in Woodbury county, Iowa, and was the daughter of Henry and Rosanna Wilke. From the time she was six years old, she lived with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Wilke, in Le Mars, until after their deaths. Since then she has been living with her only sister at Opportunity, Washington.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. W. E. Lister of Opportunity. Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.

Deceased was a member of the Sociality of the Blessed Virgin.

Burial was made in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Le Mars with Wiltgen's in charge of funeral arrangements.

Those who acted as pallbearers were: Frank Hentges, John Roder. Frank Sudmoyer, Bert Kemp, John Nommers and John Braun
