EARLY RESIDENT TAKEN BY DEATH

Peter Begg Succumbs In Home of Brother Here

Peter, Begg, one of the pioneers of Plymouth County, died at the home of his brother Wm Begg in Le Mars Tuesday morning if he had lived until October 10 he would have been 75 years old.

The funeral was held from Meely's chapel in Le Mars at 10 a. m. today, and the body was interred in the Union Township Cemetery.

Surviving are two brothers, Wm. Begg of Le Mars, and John Begg of Stanton township.

Mr. Begg was born in Dundass Ontario, and when a small boy he came to Plymouth county, in August, 1870. He lived here all his life, except a few years he spent in Woodbury county. His occupation was farming, until he retired. He spent his time with his brothers after giving up active farming.

Mr. Begg's quiet, unassuming character endeared him to his friends and acquaintances, all of whom view his passing with great regret.
