MRS. ELSA MOSER

Mrs. Elsa Louise Moser, 84, Shenandoah, former longtime Remsen and LeMars resident, died Thursday (Jan. 6, 1977) at Hand Hospital, Shenandoah, after a long illness.

She had been a resident at Shenandoah Care Center for the last five years, moving there in 1972 from LeMars.

She was born June 10, 1893, at Dumont, Iowa, to Henry and Elizabeth Thode. Her marriage to Efford Moser took place Feb. 5, 1919, in Remsen. They farmed in the Remsen and LeMars vicinity and moved to LeMars in 1959.

She was the former Elsa Louise Thode, daughter of Henry and Sophie Thaden Thode.

While living in LeMars, Mrs. Moser was employed in offices at Harker’s Meats and Bowers Clothing.

Mr. Moser was a longtime Plymouth County employee and he preceded her in death in Feb. 1959. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mauer funeral chapel with Rev. Ralph Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the Remsen cemetery under the direction of the Mauer Funeral Home.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Wesley (Audrey) Lage, Waverly; and Mrs. Wilbur (Dorothy) Cambier, Shenandoah; and five grandchildren.
