Lucille Burnight, 87, longtime Chatsworth resident, died March 18, 1990, at the Hawarden Community Hospital of a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 21 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Akron. Monsignor Gerald Lyon officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery in Akron, under direction of Schroeder Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were John Ludwigs, Lawrence Ruhland, Russ Ruhland, Michael Ruhland, Charles Hendricks and Richard Tentinger.

Mrs. Burnight, the former Lucille Rounds was born Sept. 12, 1902 to William E. and Mary Rounds in Onawa, Iowa. She married Henry Burnight Nov. 26, 1924 in Hawarden, and they lived in Chatsworth for many years. Mr. Burnight preceded her in death. She lived at the Hass Hillcrest .Care Center in Hawarden since 1976.

Survivors include two brothers, Floyd Rounds of Denton, Tex., and Bill Rounds of Arrowhead, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
