Sophie Larson, 94, Akron, died Monday (March 19, 1990) at the Akron Care Center after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 22 at Brule Creek Lutheran Church, rural Elk Point: Rev. Leslie Herhes 'Will officiate. Congregational hymns, "Abide With Me" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" will be sung, accompanied by Mrs. Leverne Klemme, organist. Burial will follow in Brule Creek church cemetery, under direction of Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Visitation will be from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Schroeder Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Ray Waag, Donald Waag, Kenneth Waag, Arnold Helseth, Donald Offerdahl, and Cliff Jervik.

Miss Larson was born Oct. 5, 1895 to Edward and Marie Braastad Larson, on their rural Elk Point farm. She lived on the home place until she entered the Akron Care Center in 1972.

Survivors include one sister, Mina Waag of Akron; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Ludwig, Edward, Lars, Helmer, George, and William.
