Eddie Johnson, 76, Brunsville, died Friday (March 9, 1990) at his home after an extended illness.

Services were held at 2 p.jn. Tuesday in Christ Lutheran Church, rural Le Mars. Rev. Jack Hebard officiated. Burial was in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery under direction of Mauer-Johnson Funerral home, Le Mars.

Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 19, 1914 in Preston Township, Plymouth County, Iowa, to Martin and Lena Weyen Johnson. He was a lifelong Plymouth County resident. He married Verna Matt as, Aug. 28, 1935 in Grant township. He was a retired Plymouth county farmer. Mr. Johnson was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Le Mars.

Survivors include his wife, Verna of Brunsville; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (LaRae) Ludwigs of rural Le Mars; two grandsons, Barry and his wife, Joyce Ludwigs and Ronald Ludwigs, all of Le Mars; a greatgranddaughter, Kenzi of Le Mars; and one sister, Mrs. Ervin (Anna) Harms of Le Mars.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Walter.
