Mamie P. Klave, of Akron, formerly of Merrill, died Monday (March 5, 1990) at the Akron City Convalescent Care Center.
Services were held at noon Wednesday at the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Rev. Mark Harrington of Merrill Assumption Church officiated. Burial was in Sioux City Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Klave, the former Mamie Strait was born July 20,1903, at Ute to Isaak and Lydia Rowland Strait. In former years she worked at Elaine's nursing home in Sioux City. She married Edward A. Kraft Feb. 8, 1921, at Mapleton. After his death she married Albert Klave in 1942, in Sioux City. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Kraft, San Jose, Calif., and Marvin Kraft, Moline, Ill,; a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Nadine) Clarey of rural Merrill; and a sister, Alice Knudsen of Sioux City.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Arlene) Reed and Mrs. John (Rosetta) Pappass.
