Clara W. Wetrosky, 89, of Akron, died Sunday (Feb. 11. 1990) at Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Church of Christ in Akron with Rev. Elmer Hodge officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation was held from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with family present from 7-8 p.m. in Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Soloist Tim Kelley will sing "Because He Lives", and the congregation will sing "How Great Thou Art". Carol Harris is organist.

Pallbearers are Eric Medley, Harold Peters, Kenneth Utesch, Clinton Wetrosky, Dave Wetrosky and Greg Wetrosky.

Mrs. Wetrosky, the former Clara Buehre, was born March 4, 1900, in Plymouth County, to Henry and Lucy (Miller) Buehre. She attended country school in Johnson township. She married Arthur Wetrosky Aug. 18, 1921, in Sioux City. The couple farmed in Liberty township and then moved to Waterloo for a year. In 1948 they moved to Le Mars and moved to a farm near Akron in 1950. Mr. Wetrosky died March 6,1975. In 1980 Clara moved into Akron, and in 1986 she entered the Akron City Convalescent Care Center. She was a member of First Church of Christ in Akron.

Survivors include a son Duane and his wife, Pat of Akron; a daughter Marlys Farley of Durango, Colo.; grandchildren, David and Marsha Wetrosky, Greg and Lori Wetrosky, Karen and Harold Peters, Diane and Richard Smith, Richard Farley and Denise Gaily; seven great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur; son -in - law, James Farley; a sister, Emma; and a brother, Henry.
