Josephine Bohman, 90, of Rock Island, Ill., a native of Union county, S:D., died Dec. 23, 1989 at her home.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 27 at First Lutheran Church in Moline, where she was a member. Burial was in National Cemetery, Arsenal Islands, under direction of Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd. of Moline. The former Josephine A. Bengtson was born Feb. 3, 1899, in Union County, S.D. She married Rev. Oscar F. Bohman July 12, 1928 in Sioux City. He died Nov. 10, 1979. She was a member of Rebeccah circle of the church; Endowment Society of Augustana College; Retired Pastor's Association; and served with her husband in parishes in Mediapolis, Iowa; Newman Grove, Neb.; Spencer, Iowa; Avoca, Minn.; Canton, Ill.; and Dixon, Iowa, retiring in Rock Island in 1966. Pastor Bohman served as pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron from 1924 1928.

Survivors include two daughters, Lozetta Sandin of Moline, Ill., and Zada Giron of LaGrante, Ill.; a son, Wenzel Bohman of North Huntingdon, Pa.; 12 grandchildren ; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Otillia Linn of Sioux City and several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Max (Myra) Vreugdenhil of Akron.
