Mrs. Lulu Stauffacher

Mrs. Scott (Lulu) Stauffacher, 90, Banning, Calif., a former LeMars resident, died Wednesday, (May 1, 1974 )at HyLond convalescent home at Banning after a long illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Mauer funeral chapel, LeMars. Rev. Tom Balm will officiate and burial will be in LeMars Memorial cemetery.

Mrs. Stauffacher, the former Lulu Koenig, was born April 17, 1884, in LeMars to George H. and Margaret (Goetze) Koenig. She was graduated from LeMars high school in 1900.

Mrs. Stauffacher attended Iowa State Teacher's college at Cedar Falls and was employed by American Trust and Savings bank in LeMars before her marriage. She had lived in Waterloo for many years. Her marriage to Rev. Scott Stauffacher took place in LeMars. He died in the early 1940's.

Survivors are her niece, Mrs. Margaret Hoorneman, LeMars; three nephews, Robert Winter, Maryland; Dwight Schneider, Arvada, Col. and Kenneth Kaupp, Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Emma Schneider, Ann Kaupp and Martha Winter and a brother George Koenig.

She was a member of United Methodist church.
