Mrs. Grover Schneider and Mrs. Karl Kaupp

Two sisters, who were former Plymouth county residents, both died this week at nursing homes. They were Mrs. Karl Kaupp and Mrs. Grover Schneider.

Services for Mrs. Kaupp, 94, Indianola, formerly of Le Mars, will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Mauer funeral chapel with Rev. H. 0. Thompson and Rev. B.F. Zuehl officiating.

Burial will be in the Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Russell Knapp, Elmer Lentz, Eldon Danne, Carol Parkinson, A. R. Hershberger and Edwin Arnett.

Mrs. Kaupp, wife of the late Rev. Karl Kaupp, died Wednesday (February 9, 1972) at a rest home at Indianola after an illness of several weeks. She had been at the home for six days.

The former Anna Gertrude Koenig, she was born Oct. 13,1877, at Harrisburg, Pa., a daughter of the late George and Margaret Goetzi Koenig. She married Rev. Karl Kaupp June 16,1902, in Le Mars.

Rev. Kaupp, who died several years ago, served in the Stanton and Melbourne vicinity after the couple was married. In 1918 he was at Dubuque, in 1924 at Ackeley and then at Dysart and Boxholm. He then returned to Le Mars and to the Melbourne and Merrill Stanton township churches.

Mrs. Kaupp was a member of the United Methodist church, formerly the Evangelical church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Homer; a brother, George Koenig and a sister, Mrs. Martha Winter.

Survivors are a son Kenneth of Des Moines; one sister, Mrs. Lula Stauffacher of Banning, Calif., two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
