Odessa Margaret Burcham, 81, Elk Point, and formerly of Westfield, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1992, at her home after a brief illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Rev. Donald Greenough officiated. Internment was in Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jerry Klurnper, Ron Branson, Larry Wilcox, Jim Utesch, Bob Utesch and August Huebner.

Mrs. Burcham was born Dec. 7, 1910 in Omaha, the daughter of John and Flora (MIZE) Herron. She married Harold Burcham Sr. June 12, 1929 in Sioux City. They moved to Westfield in 1940, where they farmed. He died in February 1975. She remained on the farm until 1988 when she moved to Elk Point.

Survivors include two sons, Harold and his wife, Mary of Sioux City, and Leland and his wife, Joyce of Elk Point; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand-son.
