Eleanor A. Jensen, 69, of Elk Point, died suddenly Monday, Aug. 3, 1992 at her home.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Elk Point United Parish church. The Rev. Chandler Welch officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery in Sioux City, under direction of the Anderson Funeral Home in Elk Point.

Pallbearers were Robert Trudeau, John Lewis, Waldon Harding, David Curry, Bill Curry, and Walter Hummel.

Mrs. Jensen, the former Eleanor A. Rosenbaum, was born April 30, 1923 in Westfield, Iowa. She married Chris Jensen Aug. 28, 1941 in Le Mars, Iowa. The couple farmed at rural Jefferson until 1984, when they moved into Elk Point. She was employed at Curry Seed Co. for the past 14 years.

Survivors include her husband, Chris of Elk Point; a son, Gerald and his wife, Jan Jensen of Pierce, Neb.; three daughters, Judy and her husband, Gary Junge, Kay and her husband Scott Semple, and Karen and her husband, Kevin Irwin, all of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; and her mother, Minnie Rosenbaum, and a sister Lois Jahn, both of Alcester.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Rosenbaum, and one sister, Joyce.
