Valoris Y. Conway, of Akron, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1992 at the Akron City Convalescent Care Center.

Services were held Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Akron. Monsignor Gerald Lyon officiated, Pat Bernard was organist. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden, Ia., under direction of Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Visitation was held Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Stan Rolfes, Robert Harvey, Orlando Harvey, Robert Voss, Gerald Dykstra and Arthur Voss.

Valoris was born April 5, 1923, in Sioux county, Iowa to Orville and Neva (Bedard) Conway. She graduated from the Hawarden high school and attended St. Joseph School of Nursing in Sioux City. She was a nurse for many years.

Survivors include one sister, Eloise and her husband, Richard Vogelzang of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two nephews and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and Benny; and one sister, Donna Johannsen
