July 20, 1945FUNERAL OF EMIL LEE WAS HELD WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
Emil A. Lee was born April 9, 1891, in Norway, where he received his early education, and came to this country in 1912, locating at Canton, South Dakota. He died July 16 of a heart attack after a few weeks illness. In 1919, he was married to Miss Frieda Spect and they farmed until 1935 when they moved to LeMars, where they have since made their home.
He is survived by his wife and five children: Franklin and Eugene of LeMars, and Raymond in service in the South Pacific, Mrs. Maurice Johnson of Detroit, Michigan, and Wilma of LeMars and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, three brothers and a sister in Norway.
Funeral services at St. John’s American Lutheran Church Wednesday afternoon were conducted by Rev. L.L. Belk and burial was in the City Cemetery.
