George H. Anderson, 87, of Kingsley, died Saturday, May 23, 1992, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services were Wednesday at the First Lutheran Church in Kingsley. Rev. Michael Gruhn officiated. Burial was in the Kingsley cemetery, under direction of Dickison- Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley.

Mr. Anderson was born Oct. 18, 1904, in Union coiunty, S.D., the son of Christian and Margaretha (Selck) Anderson. He attended rural school. He married Opal Parker in Akron Sept. 20, 1927. The couple farmed near Akron and later west of Kingsley until purchasing an appliance store in Kingsley in 1947. He then operated Anderson Implement in Kingsley, where he was an International Harvester dealer for 30 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, where he served as
treasurer for 16 years.

Survivors include his wife; a son and his wife, Vernon and Jeannine of Kingsley; a daughter and her husband, Joyce and Nick Riser of Sioux City; a brother, Edward of Spencer; a sister, Minnie King of Auburn, Calif.; four grandchildren, Alan and Pam Anderson, Mark Riser and Nancy Smith; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Rudolph, Ferdinand and Rhinehart; and three sister, Ella Swanson, Mary Heyl and Hanna Dimmick.
