Brown, Adelaide 1868 - 1945

Mrs. Adelaide Brown, a former well known and esteemed resident of western Plymouth county, passed away at her home in Boulder, Colo., last week, aged 70 years and 0 months.

Adelaide Richardson was born in Galena, Illinois, October 3, 1868. She was married to George R. Brown on January 24, 1894. They farmed near Adaville, Plymouth county, until 1924, when they retired, moving to Akron. Mr. Brown died here in 1938, and since that time she had resided for the most part in Boulder. Mrs. Brown
was a member of the United Brethren Church at Adaville.

Left to mourn her departure are two daughters, Mrs. A. M. Johnson, of Sinton, Texas, and Mrs. E. E. Brown, of Boulder; two sons, Reuel Brown, of Merrill, Iowa, and Russell Brown, of Sioux City, besides other relatives and numerous friends.

The body arrived at a funeral home in Sioux City last Saturday, and funeral services, largely attended, were held Tuesday at 2 p. in. in the Adaville U. B. church, conducted by Rev. L. B. Foster, the pastor. Interment was beside her husband in Pleasant Valley cemetery, Adaville.
